Specific Skills

Appraise clients' needs or eligibility for specific services; Provide suicide and crisis intervention; Conduct individual and group counselling sessions; Develop service intervention logic models and outcome measures; Maintain program statistics for purposes of evaluation and research; Screen, recruit and train volunteers and support staff; Assist clients/guests with special needs; Liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients; Accompany clients to appointments and social outings

Experience 2 years to less than 3 years

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.)

Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate; Social Service Worker (SSW) Diploma

Education

College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 yearor equivalent experience
